Sorry dude, but it only worls that way in Pacland and in your fantasy world. If Shane fights Pac at 140 abd looks sluggish, slow, and drained, then how in the world can anyone possibly say Pac beat a 100% Mosley. But regardless, if Pac ducks Mosley at 140 and chooses Cotto at 144, Pac will undoubtedly be ducking Mosley. That my friend is plain reality. It does not matter what we thought we knew or didn't know or whatever, what matters is what reality was, and reality was DLH came in shot to hell, and weight drained as hell. REALITY
It's one thing for an old fighter to move up weight classes and be dominant but when was the last time you heard of a guy moving down to a weight he hasn't been at for ten years and beat the best fighter in the world at that weight and p4p? There is no way Shane can do this and be healthy on fight night at the age of 37. If he were in his late 20's or early 30's I think he might be able to do it, but his old body can't handle doing this. He's just is really desperate for money. The funny thing is that he took a shot at Mayweather saying that Mayweather was broke and needed money (which may be true) but he's in the exact same boat so how can he talk.
Age is defintely a factor in making weight, but someone like Shane who works out regularly and keep his body premium may be able to pull it off. He is 5'9", so if he's been laying off of the roids, he can probably make the weight in a healthy manner. I'm sure he's discussed this with his Dr./nutritionist.
He knows there's only a few fights left in him, so he'll drop to anything to get those last few paydays
As much as I like Pacman, I think I'll be rooting for Mosley in this one. A Pac win wouldn't really mean much, and would just create a shitstorm of naysayers. On the other hand, a Mosley win would actually be an incredible achievement.
I agree about him making the drop easier than some may think. I think that Mosley is in the kind of condition that will allow him to make that drop without much physical damage. I wouldn't go counting him out at 140 just yet.
I think Shane lasts longer than ODLH and I do believe he has a chance in the earlier rounds. Don't count out Sugar Shane. You all know what happened when he fought Marg. And you guys are already in somber mode. Pathetic.
He probably has the same Dr./nutritionist that Oscar had, the one that told Oscar he could make 147 in a healthy manner.
