Shane told Espn that he feel thats Margarito should be in any trouble but that his trainer is the one at fault. he said Margarito's trainer is the one that was trying things out (maybe old or new) by protecting his fighter hands and or making them harder.but he feels margo should not be in any trouble because he is just a fighter and the trainer is the one at fault. what you think ? shane also said that it would not have amde a diference anyways if he wold of fought with the plaster. i seen it on tv, go to the website to get more details.
think they use blaster when sparring example, i don´t. Margo must been feel the differnce, on his bunches.
I was just reading in the Rican paper an interview with Cotto and he said that Margie had a great victory against him and he will take nothing away from him....they brought up the issue of the handwraps and he said, only they ( Margie's camp ) knows what they used or didn't use....but that he didn't want to take away from the great night Margie had against him. I'll tell you ....Cotto is a better man than me....I don't think I would have handled it in such a cordial manner.
Based on the way he is careful to excuse Margie and blame the trainer.... what is he saying that the boxers are the victims....they don't really know what is wrapped on their hands or injected in their veins?
Shane said that all he saw was something that looked like a knuckle pad, and that in and of itself is no problem. Richardson cut the outside gauze off the knuckle pad, and said underneath the top layers of gauze there was hardened gauze. Shane said that it was still wet, and could potentially harden. If it looked like a normal knuckle pad until you took off the outside layers of guaze Margorito might not have know. Richardson even said he didn't think Marg knew because he was so willing to cut off his wraps, and start over.
As I've said before, and what also has been said before on this thread, of course Mosley isn't going to say things like "a fighter knows what's going on". It would sound pretty hypocritical for a guy who claims he was duped into taking steroids and EPO to say that a fighter has all the knowledge of what goes on and can't be tricked into doing something dirty.
Ah, ok. Yeah this is true, and if not, must mean he was used to it.. Than again hes kind of an idiot.
I think in a sense he is correct, Fighters often do NOT question their trainers, But I would also like to throw out there, as a fighter, this is your business, this is how you make your living, and as a business OWNER you are responsible for all of your employees and pretty much responsible for their actions, if there was some wrong doing or something fishy going on in the dressing room, it is up to you as the fighter/business owner to speak out against it or pay the price of the actions by your employees. However there is a slight possiblilty that Margarito didnt know what they put in the pads, kind of like how Shane didnt know he wasnt getting Vitamins from Balco :hey that is possible, but I also think its possible that this was just mind games blown out of purportion. Either way I agree but disagree with Mosley.
