Now that I think of it, I feel that Shane really took Cotto too lightly, I think he was spending too much time looking ahead of Cotto than concentrating on what was in front of him. Also, now that I watched the fight again, it was a fairly weak performance by Mosley's standards. I still feel it should have been a draw, and I think if there was a re-match, if Shane could stay at the same level he is now, if he went in with a better gameplan, he'd win. Anyway, Cotto impressed me, I think he's reached his peak.

no way a draw. People tend to forget that Cotto's the champ. To be the champ u gotta beat the champ. I think Shane may have done enough to earn a draw(compubox had them landing exactly the same) although i do agree with the 115 113 scores. Not the 116 one though, that was too wide of a margin.

I think its possible he didnt think Miguel could box as good as he could but I doubt Shane underprepared for Cotto.

Or Mosley overestimated himself thinking, IMO,that juice and physical strength could turn back Cotto. Well, Mosley wasn't as strong as Cotto even with his "enhancements." :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

no. That's a load of ****. But i still had Cotto by 115-113.

To beat the champ you have to win on 2 of 3 scorecards. Well put by Nigel Collins editor of Ring Magazine replying to Oscar making the same claim in the ring after Floyd won their fight.

What I really feel is that Shane as well as I feared that he might not been able to deal with Cotto's physical strength so he turned on some reluctance at the early going whereas Cotto built the lead and the impression of controlling the action. After awhile, it was difficult to get to him cause Cotto relaxed and made it a hard, steep road for Shane to climb on, but still Shane delievered and tried... With a different gameplan, he could or could not succeed, but I believe that more important than having that hope is that Shane proved world class resilience against one of the most devastating punchers in the division and he can well estimate his potential in a coming chance against someone else.

I think mosley underestimated cottos boxing abilty ( i know i did ) im not sure about the draw. I thought cotto took the fight . Would love to see the rematch. I think cotto would take the rematch mosleys main advantage was his speed but imo cotto was just as fast. The thing that makes it interesting for me cotto stepped of the gas for the last 3-4 rounds did he do an oscar or did mosley have him gassed. I HOPE THIS FIGHT HAPPENS.

Nah buddy . . . no way. Shane knows right from the start that he is in for a very tough fight.

He probably did but I doubt it would have changed the outcome. Cotto ate some clean punches but Shane is 36 and knew his limits in the exchanges.

What more could Mosley have done? He chased him round the ring, landed tons of power punches. Got a little tired at the end but maintained the pace.

I thought he did enough for a draw, if he'd have won no-one would have saw it as foul injustice.

What exactly did Cotto do except keep a tight defence, manage not to get KOd by having a great chin and do a little counter punching? I do like Cotto, but I don't like the way he is adored by too many on here, to the point people put Mosley down.

Is that why he had Cotto back pedaling for the second half of the fight?
