I think you mean styles make fights.. It is pretty clear that you need a matchup to have a fight. And.. no. Shane might be an inch slower, but he is much stronger in other departments. He will give Floyd fits and won't give up as soon as he struggles.
Shane is faster ? I don't think so..Example and common opponent Cotto. Zab speed allowed him to get to cotto and inflect damage.. Shane on the other hand was out classed by cotto's speed and had to rely on his sheer strength to wear cotto down in the later rounds.
At 135 the same thing would happen as is about to happen; Shane gets outclassed by a superior boxer. Floyd's style was never good for a Shane Mosley. Speed and power, though they really help, don't win fights.
I think Zab showed in his fight with Floyd that he was the quicker of the two. While Mosley may not be as quick as Zab, I think his speed is more dangerous than Judah's because he's more inclined to throw combinations than Judah and has a rock solid chin that allows him to take more chances. I also don't think Floyd's speed has been nearly as eye-catching since he moved to 147, and that Shane can match him in that department.
Mosley's speed is being highly overrated on this board of late, but he is still a thousand times the fighter Zab Judah ever was and will give Floyd a far, far, far tougher fight. I view Mosley's physical strength as being more important in this fight than his speed.
Zab is in no way faster. Neither of Mayweather. Pacquiao might be faster. Shane has speed he just chooses not to use because as hes gotten older he throws one punch at a time. Watch the Margarito fight and you'll see when he throws combos he still has the same speed he had when he was young.
his speed is irrelevant because he doesnt use it to box he just uses it as a combination to his power... that's why he looks great against come forward fighters and looks bad against boxers/awkward fighters
