Shannan Taylor on life support after drug overdose.

There's not much more to add to what the title tells you, as there isn't much more news on it. The Daily Telegraph in Australia has reported it to be the case though and there's rumours floating around that he may have already passed.

Apparently the doctors at Wollongang Hospital(apologies for the likely incorrect spelling) have expressed grave concerns regarding the situation, and if he hasn't already died it seems that his condition is so critical that there's not much hope.

Those of you not familiar with him may have seen him before in losing efforts against the likes of Shane Mosley, Anthony Mundine, Richard Williams(in Britain), and Arthur Abraham. While not exactly being a fighter of the highest echelon he's still been a pugilist of relatively decent talent in his time and this is potentially another sad loss for boxing.

Fingers crossed.

 

I'm hearing very much contrasting stories here guys, I can't sleep now so I'm basically monitoring the situation.

In the Aussie forum, some people are saying that they've turned the life support off and that he has indeed passed, only for others to say he's still fighting. Then both Mundine and Billy Dib tweeted that he had died, only for Mundine to correct himself after.

On top of that stories from journalists that are apparently "close" to his family are both giving different accounts. All I can say for sure is that this doesn't look like it will have a positive ending. Unfortunately it seems that it may be a matter of time anyways.

Please everyone Shannan has not passed away but is on life support, They are doing all they can for him & he will be reassessed tomorrow so I will update you once I hear from the doctors, thanks for all the support from everyone it means a lot to the whole family xx

So am I correct in saying that it's around quarter to two in the morning over there? Give or take it's about that, I'm not sure what region of Australia he's in so it could be earlier or later if there's a time difference.

Essentially we won't be hearing much for about 6 hours.

 

Due to the fact I plan on doing next to nothing this week because I have to save for the weekend, definitely.
