Beaver.... where did I say Mosley and Pernell ducked Tszyu?? ****.. Im too lazy to read through the posts.. here's your chance to prove me wrong.
Hypothetical match ups... Other than the Whitaker fight, the other 3 were available to Tszyu in his career.. Hence I said DLH moved to W/W to face Pernell instead. Trinidad began as a jW/W in early bouts, and his strength was unlimited throughout future divisions. Chavez.. IMO a perfect target for Kostya. Saving another late night.. my sleep has suffered as much as my liver.. lol.. My opinion is my opinion.. yours is yours .. Cheers.
Sorry about the noise Leon.. I was just trying to convince others than Im convinced in convincing myself for the sake of unconvincable conviction.. ?? WTF??? It was late.... as usual.
You could prob throw Mayweather Jr in there too.. There's an argument Showtime stuffed with Tszyu's match ups a bit.
Floyd never entered my mind mate. At the time of Tszyu's last few years, being fights few and far between, I payed no attention to Floyd. I can't say that ever changed. lol. :good
There are a lot of light welters through time that Tszyu would not be favoured to beat , but that is just my opinion. Lil Floyd would have outsmarted him. Tszyu had good power, but a lot of less than slick guys ( Gonzalez ) went the full route with him, suggesting its not as devastating as the Judah fight made3 it look. Having said that he was a fantastic fighter and i can see why people rate him so highly.
I don't disagree Riggers.. Tszyu had patience in the ring, unlike 99% of champs, that worked like a chess match. He believed in himself so much more than the typical backfoot fighter he had to stalk until fights end. Willingness to absorb a shot (hard shot) for the opportunity of landing one of his own was A-Typical for Kostya.. and the reason for Phillips landing so many telling right hands. Tszyu knowledge of his own power allowed him to play cat-and-mouse, until the trap was ready to squash the mouses head. Lack or regular fighting would possibly allow PBF a slim chance to outbox him.. I honestly doubt it, unless 2004 or 2005 was the year. I still think Floyd would fall.. for the simple reason of being countered and tagged with dynamite. There's not a chance in hell that Floyd would lay on, wrerstle or out muscle Tszyu the way Hatton did, hence attempting to outbox Tszyu would allow room and risk of being tagged HARD in return. My opinion anyway.
Tend to agree. To beat KT you had to war with him. He was never really "outboxed" in his career. Outmuscled, sure. I recall on another forum years ago that Jeff Mayweather himself said that Floyd would have to be at his absolute best to beat KT at 140.
