I'm proud of you Shannan. You nearly had Mundine down a few times. In my estimation two rounds were Mundine's, two were even stevens and the rest were yours. I've never seen you looking so fit, so fast. Brilliant preparation, congratulations to your trainers and don't retire. Well done. :happy

    Illawarrian's Scorecard 118-112 Shannan Taylor.

Rest Of Planet 119-109 or 120-108 to Anthony Mundine.

Even as Agent Mulder on a mission tonight of 'I want to believe' only in my most generous mood could I give Taylor 2 rounds.

I thought Taylor looked very good and scored 118-110 to Mundine. He certainly had more power than Mundine and even had him bothered more than a few times.
Mundine couldn't seem to rattle Taylor though and has definitely lost power.
And whilst his speed was good, still not as crisp as he's been at his peak. This fight confirmed he's past his best for me.

The likes of Kessler and Calzaghe would tear him apart, no wonder he did his best to duck Kessler.

What part made you proud of shannon mate. Was it his headbutts, his attempted arm locks, his kicks, his low blows, or the **** he carried on with after the fight. Or maybe it was just his fantastic version of a heavybag that occassionally hit back. Your off ya chops mate, shannon is finished.

Actually I thought a few of the under cards were good and the fight was entertaining with all the fouling ST did. More value for money then the Katsidis fight IMO.

Just a thought... If Taylor continues on, will he retain #10 WBA M/W ranking??? If so, he may be a potential non-mandatory choice for Sturn in the next few months....

    Thoughts???
