I Will put it this way would you give all your money to one man. we are not talking chump change here. I know this is true I have heard from 3 different people.

 

I'm getting a wee bit angry hearing about his loss of hard earned money being taken by a greedy germ that used friendship/trust to get it :fire .

I don't even know Shannan's story or the guys name that took his money but be ****ed if I like any greedy ****er getting rich off other peoples hard earned money by robbery!

I dont get some people.

They give their money to so called friends or their managers to invest into hairbrain ideas.

Why dont they just purchase a few properties and lease them out in decent areas etc.

It aint rocket science.Buy a few apartments make the buggers in em pay 250-400 bucks a week and you will be sweet.

If my irish grandparents can do it on their mediocre wages a bloke who already had a couple hundred grand to start with wouldnt have too many problems.

Property doesnt depreciate.

 

I agree shannon got that money the harded way in the ring and I feel sad for him but you need some street smart about all this when it all come to money

taylor was bit of a grub and he even admits that.
got ripped off by caradona- but his time will come!
easy to say invest yourself but at least he had the pride to admit he knew nothing but unfortuantely that's boxing- trust no one!
story is caradona never gave him the money anyway, was "invested" for him and paid a few dollars a month to shut him up so he didn't ask for the balance. had the chance to fight choc and earn some dollars again but truned it down- silly boy!

 

Shannan Taylor was never a standover man for any Bikie gang. He is hated by many in Wollongong and people there have every right to be. One of many examples of his behaviour include him rocking up to a nightclub (Bourban Street) pissed after a night with Frankie Gatt, with Wollongong being the small place it is the bouncers knew him and refused him entry. He then threatens to bash every patron out the front, when more bouncers show up, he finally decides to leave.... not before smashing his head through a car window and yelling to everyone how much of a "soldier" he is. What soldier meant in this instance nobody knew.

 

So Shannan's born again Christian thing didnt go so well??atsch

 

So why was he at the mma event i attended last weekend talking to the mc of the night how hes chasing a mundine fight?

Actually all he did was try talk up a possible Mundine fight to the crowd.

Hes turning down fights to Mundine but fighting duds in rsl's:huh

 

don't shoot the messenger oz, taking aleaf out of chocs book I guess calling him out, prob trying to get more coin, but he turned it down!
mundines manager has now said he will never give taylor a cent.

When Dale Fritz was playing rugby league for Illawarra in the early 1990s, a young Shannan Taylor would conduct boxing classes for the Steelers as part of their fitness program.

Now, in 2008, the roles have been reversed, with Fritz conditioning Taylor in his professional boxing career.

"We've pretty well come full circle from those days," Fritz said.
"With boxing training, it's always something that rugby league clubs like to include in their training regimes. Shannan often used to come down with us and he probably did as much of our training as he took the boys along and did boxing training.

"So it was good for us in those days."

At present, Taylor holds the World Boxing Association Pan Asian middleweight title and is rated in the world top 10, and also the International Boxing Federation Australasian super middleweight belt.

Coincidentally, Fritz and Taylor each have a little boy named Rush. Dale's Rush is three and Shannan's Rush is two.

After a successful rugby league career spanning 10 years with the Steelers, Wests Magpies, Western Reds and North Queensland in Australia, followed by a further five years with Castleford in the United Kingdom, Fritz returned to the Illawarra and has established Fritz Fitness Lifestyle Management, which is how he and Taylor came to team up again.

Their main focus now is Taylor's fight against Dondon Sultan to headline the KO Leukaemia II card at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre in Nowra Friday week.

Fritz couldn't be happier with Taylor's positive attitude, focus and commitment to physical preparation going into the contest.

"I'm well and truly retired (from rugby league) now. With the personal training business it fitted in nicely with Shannan to not so much make a comeback but to certainly get himself into some decent condition," Fritz said.

"And he's done amazingly well over the last six or seven months.

"I think (he's) probably not quite (as fit as in his prime) but there's no doubt that anyone that comes and watches Shannan spar and train at the moment can see how hard he has worked.

"He'd be the first to admit when we started back in February/March he was in not very good shape after quite a long lay-off from boxing. It was difficult for him to accept that - probably the first time in his life that he hasn't."

 

Sakio Bika was also offered 200 K for a fight in Australia earlier this year and turned it down.
