Briggs should not be fighting. He should retire. He must need the paycheck.

I feel he has one more run. I would love to see him fight Vlad if he comes in shape and motivated.

Briggs should get in shape, and he didn't look it in his last fight. The guy clearly has some gifts like fast punching speed and probably the hardest hitting heavy atm. But with no workrate & stamina you can only go so far.

    Mean Gene!

We'll see if he has a chin and/or can outwork Briggs.

If Briggs takes this guy down hard which I see him doing then its likely we will see Briggs in an eliminator in his next fight. Briggs will be champion one more time......

Lol. problem is anyone who does a runner on Briggs and has a bit of skill (aka ibragimov) will win. Try to bang with him and you'll loose, but the better guys knows this. Shannon aint got the bumrush attack of old anymore, feet are planted in concrete.

I think Briggs is better against big opponents then he is against running scared guys like Ibragimov. Sultan had one of the most un-entertaing stances I have ever seen against Klitschko he litterally had his legs spread out to stay away from Wlad. Its supposed to be a fight not a hiding match.

You all will see Briggs fight like he's 24 again against a more worthy opponent. The Mcgee fight was nothing. He had no reason to unleash the cannon attack that we all know. And if you honestly don't think he has the bumrush in him...you're about to see some heads knocked off. He WILL be Champion of the world again. The little klitch kiddo's wont know how to handle him. Wlad would faint, Vittel..well, doesn't have the chin for a Briggs hit.

What, are you quoting his last interview?

We know this and he's dropping weight like he's going to be dropping opponents in the ring. Hermans making sure of that. He is one of the best trainers out there right now and he is pushing Briggs pretty hard. That 20 lbs won't be there in a month.
