Speaking for myself, I actually never said he was wrong or lying. Briggs seems to be a fairly honest guy...well, aside from obvious PED abuse. I very carefully explained that Briggs' perception of who hit harder/who was more skilled was probably very heavily influenced by his condition in all 3 fights. The fact he took dozens of gruesome flush bombs vs Vitali over a grueling 12 rounds likely affected his perception as well. We can simply watch all 3 bouts and we know for a fact Briggs was not a sitting duck getting blasted dozens of times in the first 2 bouts (nor was he heavily shopworn with reduced reflexes)

I don't have a problem with someone saying prime Vitali was more dangerous or harder hitting than ancient Foreman in his last fight (who was far less aggressive than his younger self and was often content to spam jabs), or that Vitali hurt Briggs more than Foreman or Lewis (who stopped Briggs fairly early and didn't land a lot).

These are entirely different claims than using Brigg's statement to conclude Vitali was both harder hitting and more skilled/dangerous than any version of Lewis or Foreman.

I agree that we can't know much about prime Foreman's punching power / dangerousness based on the grandfather Briggs remembered fighting.

Lennox...I've occasionally wondered a bit about just how hard the guy hit. Lewis didn't rely on hitting power as much as somebody like Foreman did. I know that many people put him in the same class as Big George, but I've never been quite as sold on doing that.

But yes, personally, I'd prefer triangulating a bunch of reminiscences of people who faced one or more of these guys before making a judgment either way. Maybe others remember the contrast differently.

It's believable that Klitschko was the hardest hitter Briggs face based on how many times he hit Briggs and all the damage he caused leaving him in ICU. Briggs ran from Foreman most of the fight while when he fought Vitali he was much bigger and way more imobile.

Interesting that Chris Arreola stated Vitali Klitschko hit harder than Deontay Wilder and Ellie Seckbach tried telling Arreola who felt both of their punches that Wilder hits harder *Shakes head*

At the same time Kevin Johnson claims Alex Leapai, Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois all hit harder than Vitali, Danny Williams also said the faded version of Mike Tyson hit harder than Vitali.

How many rounds would Briggs last walking face first into the punches of Foreman? Not many. I see a Foreman jab putting him down , if not out.
The lesson learned here is that Vitali is better than a near 50 y/o Foreman

You know what that means yeah? It means to have to accept that Vitali dodged the Byrd rematch because Byrd is on record saying Universum/K2 made him fight Wlad instead. You wouldn't call him a liar would you?
You should be accepting this anyway because its the truth. The truth is that Vitali sent in his younger bro to get the job done as he didn't fancy it himself.
