I hope so. I know and understand why the majority of fans dislike or just have no more room to care about him, but I've always been a Briggs fan..and NOT gonna stop now if he's coming back.:yep
I think its a great list of pretenders, wannabees, tomato cans and journey men. All of them needed to be KO'ed and Briggs did just that! Go Briggs!!
Brother Chef, I absolutely understand where your coming from and you make always good points. BUT, IMhumbleO, I think Wlad vs. Briggs would get pretty damn good attention. Don't know if it could match the build up Wlad vs. Haye had goin' on, but American fans still know Briggs and would be excited to see the fight....and sell a gang of tickets, esp. if in MSG. Wlad would stomp his ass of course, but it would be a fight I think folks would get excited over.:good
a couple of years ago yeah, but the only people who really know briggs anymore are us, the hardcores. the briggs of 1997 would put asses in the seats and be entertaining as long as it lasted. the briggs of today couldn't give tickets away to his cousins and would have an asthma attack during the pre fight instructions
I think awhile back it would have been a good fight. All depends on who Briggs beats to get back into the mix. If Briggs beats a Valuev, Arreols, Haye, Chambers or guys 1 step down from those guys, then I think there would be enough interest in him
Briggs is a movie star too. Haven't you guys ever seen the Transporter 2! Briggs has the charisma and he's helluva huge. People will pay to see Briggs fight Wlad. The first 45 seconds of this fight will be action packed! Of course if Briggs doesn't win by the second round, he's in for a long night being jabbed until Wlad gets bored and finally throws the right hand. The latter being the most likely scenario.
He was suppose to be training for his comeback last year.... I remember him talking about it on ESPN when he was filling in for Teddy.....
Briggs is always "training" for a fight supposedly. The guy is lazy and just wants a money fight ie: a fight with a Klitschko. Briggs is a waste of time. Period.
