shannon Briggs: Samuel Peter does not want to fight me

    Interesting to see where Briggs sits right now. Looks like he wants atleast one more crack at the title soon.

    Hopefully he gets Peter, one of the Klitchkos or Valuev. Briggs makes a good point about how leniant they have been with Chagaev not being stripped for all his illness' he's had.

    I know many of you want Briggs to go away but I think Briggs has too big a mouth to not get a fight. If Peter doesnt want to fight Briggs than why go to his camp and insult Briggs and his traininer?

    Briggs is a disgrace who throws 10 punches a round and he has a Glass Jaw and asthma. I do not ever want to see that joke fight again. Plus all he does is make excuses.

    Asthma is a slightly better excuse than some of the following....

    I cant train because of a cold (Chagaev)

    I lost because vasoline didnt allow oxygen into my poors(Wlad after brewster dropped him)

    I can`t train because i had sex with a hooker (Chagaev when he had hep c)

    Reality is all boxers make dumb excuses.....

    If you look at the Briggs Sultan fight you can see it was almost the same as the Klitschko sultan fight. Sultan is a scared running fighter who does not engage. Briggs matches up alot better against guys who want to KO him for example Klitchko or Peter.

    Ruiz deserves the shot at Chagaev's title before anyone (and he will likley get it)

    A rematch with Valuev may put the title right back in Jawny's hands, and rightfully so.

    Briggs isn't ducking anyone he just wants a title shot or eliminator fight.

    oh yeah and I agree that Ruiz should fight Valuev for the WBA strap or at the minimum an interim belt.

    I would say that is fairly in-accurate. Briggs was tired and didnt do much but Sultan never hurt Briggs badly either. Sultan was just popping shots and getting out for the most part. He is an ackward fighter as was also seen when Wlad fought him.

    as much as i don't like briggs, sultan didn't "dismantle" anybody, he just "outboxed" briggs and briggs didn't do jack. that said, peter Wide UD over Briggs b/c briggs ain't changing at this point and his stamina is so bad that peter will outland him badly.
