Haye won't ever fight Briggs. Too much risk for very very little reward. What does Haye gain by beating Briggs?

If Briggs wasn't this lazy he could have maneuvered himself into a mandatory position a while ago already. Then the Klits and Haye would have no other choice than fighting him. Briggs is far too inactive to be credibly calling out any of the current belt holders.

Briggs is still dangerous for three rounds. After that, hes pretty ineffective.

Yeah but Haye is faster he could have a chance but fighting Briggs isn't exactly a match people are pressed to see. Me personally would rather him face someone else, even Solis.

I can't see this fight happening, atleast at the moment. If Briggs, like Toney, would have been active the past year or so then maybe but not very likely now. But, despite Haye being a huge favorite in this bout, the fight does make some sense. Haye could use some HBO exposure since I'm assuming HBO would love a Klitschko-Haye fight. Haye-Briggs could be something HBO is interested in to build towards a Klitschko fight and theres only a small chance at the upset. I see the same scenario with a Haye-Holyfield match up. Both fights are slim but they do make some sense.

Why is this dude still around ... No body wants to see him fight! As everyone else has already pointed out, this is just a payday for Briggs. One last cash out so he can go back to being lost.

I agree, if he really wanted to make waves, he would of stayed active and earned himself a title shot. Its a waste of gym time and a waste of a fight. This is just laughable ... trying to make himself seem as if he's got something to offer the Heavy's. Oh! For the record Briggs, it was Haye that pulled out of the Wlad fight to fight a circus freak with a paper title. Worst call out ever!

Instead of calling out EVERYBODY why doesnt he do the talking with his hands and fight somebody ranked and actually GOOD. Beating worthwhile opponents will net him a title shot.

Shannon has got to fight a legitimate heavyweight 1st before he is taken seriously.

Hmm don't like Briggs but he has a chance of winning this fight. I would favor him actually. Or Maybe a few years ago...

Briggs has a chance against any heavyweight for the first two rounds, considering his right hand. There is very little incentive in fighting him. He is old, dangerous and has no belt nor is he a mandatory.

If Briggs ever wants a title shot again he will have to go through a couple of ranked contenders and then win an eliminator.

Briggs should fight Audley. Then after he wins the hearts of England, Haye would have no choice but to take on Briggs.
Just imagine this epic clash between two charismatic power punchers with super cool hairstyles.
The Klitschkos don't have cool hairstyles. The Klitschkos have boring safety-first hairstyles that thier mom gave them, or possibly the German equivalent of super-cuts.

Forget the calling out element of this message, what's more relevent is his acknowledgment of the Klitty boys tactic of walking away from stacked negotiations and then blaming the other party.

He also says what many people are thinking about the Klitty boys fighting style!
