I am excitted to see Briggs will be back in action next month hopefully he comes in to the fight in good shape and anhilates whoever he fights. On a side note I believe their is a chance that Briggs and his promoter may have gotten a future fight aggreement instead of cash in the Klitschko settlement. Maybe Briggs will get ranked then thrown in with Klitschko. Only time will tell. Briggs will reign again mark my words.

"briggs" and "good shape" are not meant to be used in the same sentence.

I dont care how he got the title shot he Knocked Sergei the **** out. So he deserved the belt. Many fighters get un-deserved title shots thats the business. Briggs will probably get another title shot one way or another.

Great news, I read he's making his comeback Feb 2. I have always said Briggs is one of the most powerful punchers in the ring today, the man has over 50% of his wins by 1st round knockout. I just hope he gets down in weight, and is ready to fight a full 10 rounds.

I for one would love to see shannon the cannon back in the ring, in shape. he can get in shape and has pretty much always been in shape just not the type thats great for stamina. he should drop into the low 240's that would be a great size for his build. but anyhow like i said id love to see him get a good win or two and challenge mr. klitschko for the titles. it would be a good match.

Well, with the current state of the heavyweight division, its no wonder Briggs would come back. Shannons knockout of Liakovich speaks more of the deficiencies of Serge , than it does of the attributes of Briggs. Truth is, they both stink. But Serge is so pathetic, he couldn't beat a has been that never was.

Shannon just has to lose some bulk, fat along with muscel. He will ALWAYS get winded too fast carrying an excesive amount of bulk.

I can't see Briggs losing his bulk or regaining a belt. I would like to see him do it but I don't think he has it in him any more.

Briggs was something like 270 of very heavy bulk for his last fight with Iggy and could hardly move or throw punches and you expect him to come "in shape" next month like he has found the amazing chinese diet secret or have undergone some muscle-suction? Briggs has only three options in front of him - weight training to keep his body-builder looks and muscular tonus, get flabbier, lose some weight and one punch power in order to loosen up a bit or forget all that and try to reign in K1!

I hope he isn't sick anymore. He can reign as a champ as long as he is serious. He still has his talents an that huge KO power of his.

I think he should also fight Krasniqi and Dmitrenko while he is on a come back trail since these two European heavies' fight have been cancelled...
