There's a man I know in a place I go,
Tis' a room in a hospital ward,
And it's said that he, Cannot ever break free,
From the memories that he's stored,

On his tortured brow, there's the hope somehow,
That his pain won't prove never-ending,
Then the tremors recur as the bad thoughts stir,
As the screams from his mouth are heart-rending,

Now it's often said, that the source of such dread,
Must be trauma so great that it scarred,
Not his mind but his soul, till his life long goal,
Is to forget all that's left his mind marred,

So I gave it a try and I spoke to the guy,
Though his words were not clear as they ran on,
For his fear seemed absurd when he uttered a word,
From the sound that he made it was 'Shannon'

For he'd once seen a vid now he couldnt get rid,
Of the sight of a bedraggled tramp,
Shouting loudly at all in a god awful drawl,
Many times the words 'Let's go Champ'

So whatever you do take these words unto you,
Have a care be you veteran or noob,
