I'm going with Baer by late stoppage here. I think Briggs would dominate early badly but fail to put Baer away. Thoughts?
Baer Could be sloppy and clown around but he was always in shape. I don't recall seeing or reading about him gassing or having a low punch output like Briggs was known for at times. Hard to pinpoint exactly when Brigg's prime was. Maybe the 2006 version who was on a decent streak stopping Koval and Liakhivich? That version vs the Baer who stopped carnera would be a fun fight! Id favor Baer to pull it off 6/10 in a fire works display of savagery with both men badly hurt and likely down at least once if not more. They'd be wary of each other after getting clubbed and it would be quite the nail biter in the mid to late rounds.
When you have two guys with that type of devastating power and little regard for defense anything can happen.
