Shannon Briggs didn't have a single real fight since 2010 - that's a half decade. His name being brought up against any decent fighter(let alone Wlad) is simply a joke. Tony Thompson fought only top 20 fighters and managed to KO Solis and went 12 rounds with top boxers like Pulev and Takam. He deserves every top level fight that can be arranged. I'd love to see him against Fury instead of Hammer, he can as well fight anyone else in the top 10, Povetkin, Perez, Glazkov, Stiverne.. anyone.
Thompson outboxes Briggs who's beaten no one half- decent in years. Tony Thompson and Wilder would be a nice match for the WBC belt and a further test for Deontay.
