My guy is telling me that Golota would take the lead early, but at some point Briggs would find a way to make it a bit too hot in the kitchen.
Golota was upright and easy to hit. Briggs most likely would nail him early and then bomb him out because Golota would freeze up after catching a big punch. Briggs stunned Lewis, outlanded Foreman in power punches, had Botha gone before he got saved by the bell, and stopped Mercer and Liakovich. Ibragimov and Vitali were his only big fights where he didn't at least give them a scare, but he was old by then and they were both good movers. True, Briggs did blow it a few times in smaller fights that he probably took too lightly. Best case for Golota is that he survives getting dropped or rocked to win a decision or score a tko, but that's not exactly his strength.
Briggs is nowhere near the level of fighter that beat Golota. Briggs beat nobody of note besides Old Foreman, and that is questionable. Briggs just isn't active enough for my liking. I'd be rooting for him though!
Correct, Bowe//shot post post prison Tyson and Brewster murder Briggs.............Byrd and Ruiz would beat him in a 12 round snooze fest too.
I just think golota hated getting hit really hard, esp out of the gate, and Briggs had power and was a fast starter. So Briggs to me
