Briggs was a level higher than Cooper, although I like Bert but if I was betting money I'd go with Briggs.

I think Briggs, size, power and mauling style would probably force a knockout over cooper. But Bert might surprise him and rock him

Brigg's was explosive early and Bert was hittable.
A fast starter like Brigg's could catch him early before he settles.

But..if Cooper survives that early storm then he has a real shot at a late tko as Briggs fades.
    Good fight.

    Narrowly favour Briggs.

Briggs brought too much physicality and a hammer punch himself. Bert had a way of closing shop when the action got too heavy for too long.

I'm embarrassed to say that I sometimes would laugh on the playground when children would call Bert Cooper 'Cert Booper.' A juvenile taunt, seemingly innocuous to us young men and women of the world, but, dare I say, an existential threat to the child in question, which he fully appreciated in his unsophisticated perception of insouciance. We never knew the psychic hurt, the metaphysical toll or the incurring blindness of the third eye. I am sorry, Bert. Please,...forgive us all. But, mostly me.
