I like how this is seemingly the most ridiculous match of all time, yet people talk about how Frazier "avoided" almost all noted punchers of the late 60's and 70's. Some view Shavers/Frazier as a very competitive match-up as well. The ones he did face such as Bonavena floored him multiple times, and such great punchers as Ron Stander and Manuel Ramos stunned Frazier, as many posters here like to bring up in Frazier vs discussions. I don't understand the inability for you guys to even discuss something from a devils advocate position.
You're right, Russ. Briggs is not just strong. He's also a technician who doesn't have asthma and his dreads alone could be troublesome for Frazier, who has a glass jaw and hypertension (much worse than Briggs' fake asthma). Even 38-year-old Briggs is trouble for a prime Joe Frazier, on account of him being a puncher and as mentally strong as he is.
Way to be a douche bag who can't grasp the idea of discussing a make-pretend vs match-up. :-( Next time, try taking it for what it is and not getting butthurt.
Who's butthurt? Seems like it's more you than me, mate. :think I'm fine. ...Hey, how do you think Holyfield would do with Ross Puritty? He had trouble with Bert Cooper.
Mhm, I'm the one pointing out the utter ridiculousness of imaginary boxing discussions on the Internet. Just so worth whining about amiright.
My ridiculing did not have any whiny tone. It had a mocking tone mostly. But there's no mocking font or anything. So, I can't blame you for the misperception.
