The fast starter vs the slow starter, who will come out on top? Will the bigger and more explosive Briggs get to Marciano early and rip his head off? Or will Marciano survive an early onslaught and wear briggs down and stop him? Of course there is no comparison between the two men in terms of greatness, but i actually think that this could be a great fight.. 12 rounds, with 50's rule set and gloves :bbb
Briggs has over 30 first round KOs in his entire career....I'd say so. Briggs today(of the Vitali fight) isn't the Briggs of the 90's. Briggs today is a roid head who has to much muscle mass, compared to a nice and trim 230 pound Shannon we saw give Lennox Lewis troubles...
Yeah, and what's the best fighter he KOed in the 1st round? Funny how Marciano's labeled a slow-starter (Not inaccurate), but that's against elite opposition. Marciano's KO of Matthews in 2nd round, and Walcott in the 1st in the rematch is better any of Briggs early round KO's...
what the ****? a guy who's only "quality" legitimate victories are vs a shopworn mercer and a shopworn lyakhovic. This is unreal.
and to the ts. briggs is not more explosive than rocky. nowhere near. the suzie q is miles more poweful than anything briggs could throw (apart from maybe a headbutt)

Well, Briggs did manage to be competative in heroic losing efforts against Jameel McCline and Sedreck Fields. I imagine his draw against Botha alone would be enough to convince most right-minded people that he could crush Marciano and Frazier on the same night.
