Has Briggs ever scored an early ko over anyone, you know, good?

Walcott and Archie Moore both dropped Marciano in the first round. We all know Briggs is a extremely fast starter. If, Briggs lands and hurts R. Marciano only whom he would have every physical advantage over he TKO's him in my opinion.

That a 230-pound, 6'4 man with big power might knock out a 185-pound, 5'10 man is far from laughable. But the class difference should make up for the size difference very nicely, even if there are some scary moments like a KD or a wobbling or a bad cut.

  9. As I said the only people who pick Marciano to win are racist white people who need to follow a new sport

  10. Moron.

Yeah Marciano was 185. But there are a few intangibles (skill?) that he had and that Briggs wishes he had. Not to mention all the tangibles (stamina?).

Rocky makes Briggs miss them huge right hands he tries to throw... Briggs' asthmatic ass gasses out and gets murdered for about 14 more rounds.... cause those officials in the 50's wouldn't have stopped it any faster than them idiots in Germany.

  11. :patsch

Substitute Marciano with a prime Joe Lewis (185 lbs.) and we got the same result as stated in post #43

Shannon could definitely cause the rock trouble. No doubt about it. A prime shannon is dangerous for the first few rounds no matter who he is facing. That said I firmly believe the rock would weather the storm and outbox him then wear him down for a mid to late round stoppage

Had the same thoughts... A 6'3' 230 IBS Briggs would be scary for the first couple of rounds against the 5'10' 185 IBS marciano.. But if Marciano can survive that (which i think he may struggle with, since he was knocked down against both Moore and Walcott) he will probably win.. This fight would definitely not have been pretty...

  14. How many guys Briggs size did your boy Marciano fight? 0 oh so that must means he would be Briggs. Briggs would kill this overrated joke

Briggs, like was said earlier is an extremely fast starter and he would be all over R. Marciano and he would not be looking at man near his size so his confidence would be overwhelming. Can Marcaino weather the storm would be question. This is a very interesting match-up.
