It would..... But Briggs hasn't done anything that would deem him a worthy opponent since mounting his comeback. And I cringe at the thought of Briggs in 2016 holding a version of the HW title, even if it's the WBA 'regular'

Briggs,the old geezer,just doesnt deserve any shot at a reigning champ.
He beats guys with records of 2-57 and then claims that he is ready to take on reigning champs and highly ranked top heavies.
He doesnt deserve those paychecks.there are more deserving challenger out there.

 

That Briggs is in the top 10 after fighting NOBODY is beyond a joke and shows the corruption that is prevalent in boxing today.

And this 'regular' world championship belt the WBA has is also a huge FARCE in its own right. Boxing is corrupt and all about $$$

 

How the hell has Briggs got a top 10 ranking with any organisation ?!!!
I sometimes wonder why I still bother with boxing when the governing bodies are so transparently corrupt with matchmaking and rankings.

 

I would love to see that fight honestly. It would be 50/50, not sure if Browne can take Briggs' power shots and vice versa.
