Briggs in the hospital attracted media in Germany, and Briggs even held press conferences praising the hospital staff and the support of the people etc. It's baffling that he would have that attitude if the hospital was going to charge him hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I also recall seeing Briggs on camera prior to the Vitali fight talking about how fighters need a union and he mentioned medical benefits and hospitalizations as the sort of thing fighters have to arrange for themselves. It's odd that someone with well-articulated thoughts on the subject of fighters getting ****ed over by promoters would neglect to read the fine print when it came to the biggest pay-day of his life.

Sorry that Briggs was ripped-off, which is something that happens way too often in boxing. I hope he wins in court.

Problem is even if he wins in court, will he ever get his money? There are 1000s of ways for the defendants in the case to delay a verdict or avoid paying a judgment.

Can't really blame K2 if they indeed paid the agreed purse to the bank account stated in the contract. What happens beyond that is out of their hands.

I have not previously heard Finkel mentioned as a rip-off artist. People who claim "K2 should have never worked with him" could possibly show some previous history of Finkel scamming fighters before. Then I'd understand the allegation.

The Turks (Cohen, Goldman, and others) have RUINED the sport since they control it and have absolutely no skills other than cheating. Briggs should have known better than to get mixed up with them. He should have hooked up with BHOP who has the Joos number.

This is really really disgraceful if things are as alleged by Briggs. $25,000 leaves him $725,000 short thats ridiculous. I wouldn't even think King Don would rip his fighters off to that degree. What a sad and evil world we live in if this is true. I really hope Briggs wins his case and gets compensated on top of that. Absolute disgrace.

This happens often in professional boxing. Crooked promoters and managers stealing from the fighters.
    Same as it ever was.

this upsets me so much...boxing is such a cold unforgiving sport sometimes; the politics don't make it any better
