No big surprise there. He lead with the left side of his face while leaning on to the right to his shoulder but forgetting about the roll. Kept waiting for his corner to tell him to move left. At least that way you may land your own right. The guy was moving away from the right and getting caught with it at will. A fence post.

 

His left orbital bone was broken from all the Vitali right hands and so was his nose later in the fight. He also has a concussion and looked like he had signs of a cerebral hemorrhage which is why he was rushed to the hospital initially. Fight should have been stopped far earlier.

 

I read that Briggs' promoter and manager asked the WBC not to stop it because it was his last chance at a title. Pretty brave of them standing outside of the ring.

That was just wrong. After the 10th I couldn't watch anymore. That ref should never be allowed to work again (IMO), and Brigg's chief-second too.
