I doubt that myself.Briggs problem was he didn't move his head and stood back to admire his work after landing shots.

    Didn't take a good punch? Who ko'd him between Feb 1901 & April1915?
In fact ,apart from the debateable kd by Ketchel who even knocked him down in those 14 years ?

You are setting yourself up again.

Ko'd cold by a man likely below 175 pounds in Choynski.

    Ko'd by Klondike.

    Hurt by Hart

Hurt by Ross, who hardly landed anything

Floored and TKO'd in an exhibition match by Smith

Marked up and floored by a man below middle and is on quote saying his jaw was never so sore vs Ketchell. Also the press reports Johnson was dazed.

Quit in other fights to avoid being knocked out.

Ko'd for the count by Willard.

When he was hit cleanly by a punch, Johnson did not take them well. Fighting a teenage Sam Mcvey and not getting his is not a test of his chin, and Langford as 156 pound and 20 year old as far from a terror. Jeannette hurt Johnson too, despite being very green.

I had thread on his not so well know fights, and he was buzzed in some of them too. If you’d like to read it, I can bump it for you

It's hard to answer because Briggs combines a lot of stuff that Johnson didn't deal with much. He's really big, he's an extremely hard puncher, he has quick hands, he punches in combination, and he has a modern jab and left hook. Briggs also jumps on his opponent early, so Johnson would have all of that stuff dumped on him from the first seconds of round 1.

How much prep do these guys get?

1.Klondike didnt knock him out, buy the book!
    2. I stipulated the dates Choynski was Feb 1901, illegible.
3.Hart never knocked him out or even knocked him down after the fight Johnson was unmarked Hart was a mess.
    4. Ross never knocked Johnson out or down and never won a round against him.
5.You cannot be tkod in a sparring match!
6.Ketchel was 170lbs for the Johnson fight.
7.Retired in2 fights when he was in his late 40's
8.Was legitimately ko'd byWillard when,at the age of 37 he ran out of gas after 26rds and was ahead on points at the time of the stoppage.

That 's all your pathetic lies blown out of the water for the umpteenth time! Come back any time ! I'll always be here to expose and correct you Dr Z! LOL

    Thanks.

I admit it would be kind of weird if Briggs beats Johnson by 3-round bumrush, and then loses to Carnera of all people because Carnera just keeps getting up for 15 rounds.

No prep, just taken from their most impressive showings and teleported to the fight. For Johnson I'd say this was his fight against Burns, though some might say Jeffries.

For Briggs I'd say his KO of Mercer

I don't disagree with you that if Briggs landed his Sunday punch he could stop Johnson. (or, pretty much any fighter for that matter). Briggs hit very hard. (At least for the first few rounds). But, he tired quickly in fights, and often became wide open for return fire after 3 or 4 rounds. Briggs doesn't really have a single knockout win over a championship caliber boxer who was anywhere near their prime. Mercer was 44 and Foreman was 49 when they fought Briggs. (And Foreman deserved the win) Jack Johnson is one of the most skilled defensive heavyweights in history. He would not just rush in and trade with someone like Briggs. He would bide his time and wait for Briggs' hands to come down. When they did.... timber!

I don't see Carnera surviving Briggs onslaught.Briggs hits a hell of a lot faster than Baer and threw a damn sight more punches .

Briggs would understand that he wouldn't be able to go 20 rounds, so he'd work on a much earlier KO.
He'd be way too strong for Johnson who was used to fighting much smaller white guys and that human anomaly Langford. Johnson couldn't simply clinch Briggs, in a Ruiz-like fashion, and get away with it. Johnson also WOULD NOT KNOCK BRIGGS OUT. PERIOD. I'm using capital letters so no one misinterprets me.

Briggs KO between the 8th and 10th round.

Johnson held the record for average weight of challengers until Louis came along.

How would the no-stamina Briggs even be concious by the 10th round
