Hatton won most of the rounds but he was winning close competitive rounds. Tackie gave him all he could handle even buckled his knees in the last minute of the fight (the British commentators were having a panic attack )
At the time they were being lined up to fight I think Hatton would have beaten him. He looked a bit ropey against no joke Stewart. When Mitchell still had his legs it might have been a different story.
Thats kind of how I feel. All these comments about Mitchell are pretty much post the first Tsyzu fight where his knee blew out. He really wasn the same fighter. Hatton could beat him in 2004, Mitchell relied on his footwork.
I'm surprised Mitchell came back after being stopped pretty badly two times in a row. Not a lot of modern fighters have managed that.
