George was tearing Henry a new ******* in round one.... now im not trying to make excuses or anything but he must of pulled some kinda of muscle or something cause he wasn't as effective in the other rounds, he was flat out doing nothing at all... Either that or he extremly sucks hairy old man balls. I mean i know Chris Henry isnt really that good but you just cant stand in front of the guy not doing anything... the **** kind of gameplan was that?

If i knew George would fight like that damn right i knew he was gonna lose.

Ill wait to see if George pulled anything or w/e cause that was a bunch of crap imo. :twisted:

 

It's pretty simple, George just isn't that fierce. He unloaded early, and I buy Henry's take, which to paraphrase was "Once I didn't go nowhere, that was it". I'm going to go with "sucks hairy old man balls" as honestly I wasn't that impressed with him in the Byrd fight so much as I was shocked how bad Byrd looked. Maybe you've seen more of him and had something else to base your opinion on, but based on pretty much just the Byrd fight I was pretty confident of a mid-rounds Henry knockout, and...well...

He didn't appear to be fighting like he'd pulled or sprained anything, as he wasn't favoring any particular limbs and was only wincing when he was getting nailed in the face. :yep But yeah, we'll give it a week and see if any reports come out.

And I was originally laughing at the sheer confidence with which you proclaimed Henry to be done/guaranteeing (not just predicting) his loss. That, and George being in better "shape".

I was very disappointed. George just came completely unravalled.

And Henry was done at least to me. He looked like garbage in the Mack fight and he didn't have a good gameplan vs Diaconu, who he SHOULD of beaten, but hes a idiot. Dont tell me that Henry has looked better than George, cause he really wasnt by much. The guy also has a history of not taking fights to seriously like his last 2.


I seen like 2 George fights and the one with Byrd wasnt much appealing til the mider rounds. ... but Henry was also caught taking mad drugs and I also thought that this choice would lower his stance on boxing in his life. Anyways i had many a reasons to pick George, those with just some.

I don't think Henry's world-beater material by any means; way too unpolished and inconsistent. What he is, is a durable exciting FNF level fighter with a punch. And that, to me, spelled doom for a light heavyweight who thinks he can box and move as though he had a welterweight's body, who took nine rounds to dispose of a drained and decomposed Byrd, and who had already been blasted in a single round once in his career...by Matt freaking Godfrey of all people (and yeah, I know Godfrey also stopped Cora and Nwodo but neither of them is exactly George Chuvalo).
