Shavkatdzhon Shokirovich Rakhimov born 08-14-1994 is a Super Featherweight with a 12-0 9 KO's record. Born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and fighting out of Ekaterinberg, Russia. Shavkat, who has the unfortunate nickname of Cotto, not sure what the deal is there, that shows a real lack of creativity on his part, is a southpaw come forward aggressive destroyer. He hails from Dushanbe, which is known by ex-pats as The Big Dushe, yet another unfortunate nickname, if he has a decent chin, may prove to be a force to be reckoned with, and he better have a damn good one, because he gets hit flush a little too much for my liking. He's awkward, has a nice straight left, works the body well, is a weird hybrid volume puncher/swarmer/pressure fighter, who can on occasion fight off the backfoot. He's got a lot of flaws, but he has a gritty rugged scrappy game he brings that could end up being a handful for a lot of lesser opponents, its too soon to put him in with the big guns of the division but he's ready enough to take out the second tier, he already has one impressive scalp on his resume with a stoppage win over the durable African Malcolm Klassen. He's got a lot of flaws he needs to work on, like learning out to slip a punch, or at the very least block one, but even if he doesn't and never progresses to the top of the division, he's more than capable of becoming an entertaining all action TV friendly fighter.
