Haha, I see where this is heading ;)

I don't think the Ogawa one was that bad, he wasn't doing an Erik Morales and posing for photos over the guy receiving medical attention, as badass as that was in hindsight.

Mmh pretty tasteless in my humble opinion but they do seem to like that sort of thing in America. Different cultures I guess. Last night however Cordina was all class.

I followed this on the General Forum, and in there quite a few folk were critical of Cordina for hardly acknowledging the efforts of Rakhimov

Didn't listen to any post fight interviews but he immediately shook Rakhimov's hands after he got the decision. Didn't jump around like a little slag. Quite frankly, he acted like a man.

True but it would have been nice if he had given his opponent a bit more credit

I can't comment on that but if he didn't, then he should have.

The interviewer tried to get him to talk about Rakhimov but Cordina just said three words. He was tough and moved on

Definitely the fight of the year so far in the UK. What a fight !

Great performance by Joe Cordina. He showed tremendous fighting spirit and above all, you can see in Cordina's eyes that he wants it. He has the right mentality and has the potential to become a really big star on the world stage.

It is a pity that those eyes cannot be transplanted into a few British Heavyweights only looking for easy fights instead of facing the best around.

It´s true. Up until the last fight on Before the Bell, there were only approx. 4000 viewers in total on DAZN and Matchroom's YouTube channels. Eddie Hearn's girlfriend drew all the viewers.

Why not build them separately ?

Sunny Edwards did a really good job and he should be a regular co-commentator on Matchroom's UK events in the future.

Zelfa Barrett boxed an outstanding fight at a very high technical level with small fine movements. By far his best performance to date.

It did get a bit personal with Cordina Rahkimov at times, the Warrington style headbutt certainly stoked things a bit, as the resultant knockdown seconds later proved. I think Cordina was more than respectful enough, it's easy to gush about your opponent after a win for PR but sometimes that can comes across a little too #bekind and not genuine, a bit Tyson Fury.
