Because Clottey was a replacement and clearly easier to deal with. Bradley is not replacement quality and Arum acknowledges that. Seeing what Bradley offers in the ring in terms of difficulty and fighting style, he's big fight material clearly and they admit it, sadly he doesn't offer enough popularity for a mega fight when they clearly have better options. If they're going for Mayweather then no one should even think for a second nor hint that they have or might have any fear towards Bradley whatsoever.

They don't want to fight Bradley. Mayweather and Bradley are the type of fighters they avoid.

Would love to see Bradley fight Pacquiao. It would be Gary Shaw's biggest payday as a promoter.

I cant believe people are buying Arum's bull**** anymore. Pacquiao should leave his ass like Floyd did. Pacquiao would be much better off without Arum's scumbag ass. He is going to **** up Pacquiao's legacy watch. First he put him in with Clottey now he is going to put him in with Margorito!

What Arum is saying is that he isnt going to risk Pac vs a fighter that can actaully beat him without huge money being on the table. And at this point in Pac's career there is really nothing wrong with that. But at the same time you cant make statements like we fight for the fans, because if the fight cant get made with Floyd I think that the larger percentage of boxing fans would love to see Pac fight Bradley then say a rematch with Cotto.

Arum is REALLY only interested in having Pac fight his fighters, so once Pac is beat he can have control of the fighter that beat him. Arum is a horrible power in boxing, he puts his self interest above that of which pays his bills. One top of that he is so stubborn that he worked away from the Mayweather DeLaHoya fight because his cut wasnt big enough. What a Jacka$$.

Pac fights for the fans. not for the 100 fans that Bradley brings to the table.:good

I like Bradley but he couldn't sell ice cubes in Africa.

Arum is right to some extent but most fights not involving a big name like Mayweather or a decent name like Cotto, would not draw more than Bradley anyways.

I know the profits stayed inside Top Rank with the Clottey fight, but that one had no more drawing power than a potential Bradley fight.

If Bradley doesn't bring much money along with him, he sure does bring skills and a real test to Pacquiao. They should just offer Bradley less money than they'd offer for instance, to Cotto for a rematch. It can all balance out in the end...

I would much rather see Bradley-Pacman than any other Manny fight besides Money-Pac.

Almost all fighters that reach a certain level of popularity, prefer the low risk / high reward fights...unfortunately for the fans...unless it's high risk but equally very high reward like with FMJ-Pacman.

The ironic part with Shaw, it's that he has the same perspective as Arum, but in regards to Bradley vs Alexander...

Exactly. Typical Pac ducking via Arum. Pac won't fight Alexander either. He ran that BS game all the way in the lighter weights. He had an excuse. Now he has belt holders and top names that vacated belts to face? He is running all over the place.

Trouble ahead, Mayweather and drug tests. Trouble behind, Alexander and Bradley. A "dark" day is a comin'.

Really? You are full of it. So why did he fight Clottey? :blood

*******s are walking balls of contradiction. You can't help but constantly stick your foot in your mouth as a Pac fan. The dude is full of crap. :-(

If bradley is the undisputed jr welter champion and no credible oponent for him on that weight, pac-bradley can be a big money fight! but hey, more top dogs in his weight are wanting to him, he should first take care of them before jumping to pac at welter. we can't blame him to desire more money but there are other way to earn it. beat all those top dogs in jr welter then call up pac. jumping straight to pac is not a good career move for him.

Whatever. You guys use this same BS to say FMJ was ducking. Margarito? A nobody with no belts. Cotto? Not bigger than Hatton or ODLH.

If Pac is the man, warrior, and doing it for the fans fighter he says he is he should be fighting these guys!

As always, a BS double standard for the Wack man. :-( You guys have low expectations for him.

we'll clottey is more marketable than bradley in the sense that there is something in clottey that can intrigue fans like is bigger than pac and he's a legitimate welter who had fought top welters like cotto and margo. plus the fact that clottey has never been stopped! while bradley is a jr welter that is just making a name. people specially his hater will not give pac credit should he win.
