yeah, after maidana ended up with a back injury/whatever the hell's going on with him now. i really don't think khan ever had any intention of fighting maidana.

Hope Maidana gets his management straightened out. Maidana appears to have been cheated.

Khan's talked about fighting Maidana several times since he won the title.

Meanwhile Maidana is the one who could have forced the mandatory, but says that he chose to wait because his manager advised him that it would be best to have another couple of fights in America first to build his name.

And Maidana is the one who now says the 'back injury' that you reference is completely fake and never existed.

Suprised that you people that place so much stock in what boxers say, don't actually pay like more attention to what they say.

Out of the top four at LWW, various people will tell you that Khan is ducking, Alexander is ducking, Bradley is ducking, but nearly everyone will tell you that Maidana will fight anyone anytime. Well, Maidana chose not to enforce his mandatory and fight Khan and turned down a fight with Bradley. And admits both!

Aren't you forgetting GBP paying Maidana NOT to fight Con?

Of course Khan doesn't want to be in this tournament. It isn't a coincidence that all his suggested opponents are lightweights.

i dont think its financially viable for gbp to enter kahn into a tourney in that format. kahn is by far the biggest asset in that equation- they make more money if they have him fight , fight by fight- then entering into a set contract for the next two years- and 3 locked in fights . it benefits the others- cos theyre smaller fry, but kahn is better off controlling his own contracts- and getting the lions share each time out, and gbp know this.

Did they? According to Maidana he doesn't even know if he has a contract with GBP, so if you know the specifics, maybe you can give him a call and help him out.

So either (a) he doesn't have a contract with GBP or (b) he works for GBP so are we supposed to be shocked that they pay him?

Why does Khan get to dictate the terms of the tournament?

Khan is now a golden boy product. He ain't got a say in who he fight next. They gonna guide his career carefully they cant afford another loss at this stage of his career.

I think Khan and his people were kind enough to be too honest when they admitted they only plan to go after big names off KO losses or guys with the lowest KO ratio available. I believe Bradley doesn't have many KOs, why isn't he a target?

There is no tournament. If people are suggesting setting one up, then obviously they are free to suggest a structure.

Thats how I see it. Those two will ruin eachother. Kahn should fight both
