    "Vic is just moving up in weight from 112 to 115 and then to 118 and eventually to 122 pounds,” Shaw said. “Vic is doing this the way Manny Pacquiao did it. I have no problem making such a rematch but who will buy it, who will pay the freight?"

    “If someone called from the Philippines and said, hey, we’ve got $2 million for Darchinyan, we’d go there in a heartbeat. Vic and I love the Philippines and the great boxing fans in that country. But I don’t see that happening, do you?

    “If (Showtime boxing boss) Ken Hershman called with that kind of an offer, if he said he’d pay us $2.3 million, then we’d fight Donaire again also. Donaire is with Top Rank and yet I have never had a phone call from either Todd duBoef or from Bob Arum about a rematch. And HBO shows no interest in this particular fight, either.”

    “My job for Vic, for any fighter, is to get the most money along with most exposure. What has Donaire been doing since he beat Vic? Not much, really. Top Rank gets more exposure and publicity for the Russian kid (7-0 middleweight Matt Korobov) than they do for Donaire." - shaw

    Shaw is a freaking lier and jerk. I think most everyone on ESB would PPV this fight. I'd have a poker game and bring in 10 guys to watch it. He can get his match made...he's just afraid his money maker will lose.

    Darchinyan talks a lot of trash but backs down like a dog when Donnaire's name comes up....I saw him do that in the ring after his last fight.

    horse****. during the post interview of the arce fight viC said he would love to fight donaire again. it was shaw who said no.

    Darchinyan is a more complete fighter than before. He would probably defeat Donaire in the rematch but Gary Shaw is too petrified to give him the chance.

    Vic knows this, Shaw knows this, everyone knows this and that is why we will not see the fight.

    Shaw is making nothing but excuses for his fighter who was humiliated by Donaire.

    Shaw is a **** and I dont believe him for the most part.

    But if he says he has never been approached for the fight by Arum and Bob doesnt come out refuting that, then who are we to believe?

    Seems like a pretty **** poor management on Bob's part...I dont think its necessarily up to Shaw and Vic to chase the rematch just because Nonito won the first fight..Fact is Vic's career is in a much better position now.
