Shaw says Bute, not Cloud next for Dawson. Good or Bad?

If Bute can be made , the sooner the better.

 

bute, offers much much more to dawson than tavoris cloud. cloud is a come forward puncher with sub par defense. bute is a hard hitting rangey southpaw, dawson would basically be fighting a more powerful version of himself.

 

I would rather see Dawson-Bute right now.

Bute is at his peak whereas Cloud could probably do with a few more fights before facing Dawson. He'd be well served by fighting more often as well.

 

Stay at LMW Dawson. Pick up another title.

 

Why would anyone want Dawson/Cloud, it would be a mismatch.

 

Bute would be a better fight and a bigger fight. Dawson IMO beats Cloud very easily he's too flawed and has **** defense. Bute is a much better more well rounded fighter than Cloud.
I'm counting down the seconds until we have people saying Dawson is ducking Cloud to go after Bute.:-(

For boxing I would say Dawson should stay at LHW because otherwise that division would lose it's boss, and things won't be as interesting anymore (B-Hop + Jones getting old, Erdei not fighting, Johnson beaten, Pascale defeated,... The SMW division is already very hot nowadays with the super 6 going on, another star to the mix will make it too crowded IMO, and I dunno whether Chad can make SMW? He said he could but can he?

 

I like Bute but Id rather him wait for this round to end fight the eliminateds from the tourney

and see a unification at 175 bringing clarity as Dawson beats 2 of the younger threats at the weight leaving a hopkins fight inedvitible

 

Dawson will beat the **** out of Bute. The bad thing is he would beat the **** out of Cloud even worse. Since Bute hasnt been tested much this will be an opportunity to see what he has.

Well Bute is a better fighter then Cloud, and stylewise presents Chad with more of a threat... when Chad beats Pascal, Dawson-Bute will be a HUGE fight in Montreal. So no complaints from me making this fight.

In the meantime maybe Cloud can fight someone like Chris Henry, or Andrade.

 

The unspoken here is "at what weight"?

I don't imagine Chad really wants to go to 168.

 

As a fan of Bute, I would love a fight against Dawson. I would reserve a ticket as soon as possible.

 

At LH or SMW???

I would hope Bute would move up because Dawson taking a chance of moving down wouldn't be a good thing.
