So now we have Shaw denying that team Wilder has proposed a match with Jennings, and not only that they haven't been offered a match, but that team Wilder told them that Jennings was never even being considered for a match. What does this mean to the supposed "top level" opponent that has been floated out by team Wilder, or his supporters? Does this actually mean that instead we will receive the usual Wilder fare of either top 35 or farcical "top 10" ranked opponent again? http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post/_/id/14202/notes-shaw-says-wilder-jennings-not-in-the-cards
Jennings would have destroyed that glass jawed fraud - which is exactly why Wilder's handlers won't let him anywhere near him.
Man, I've got to agree with you completely. Jennings is the real deal, even if he's sloppy at times from starting boxing late. I've always thought Jennings was the best American heavyweight. I think he's going to come back stronger after the Klitschko match.
One severe flaw that I see in Wilder's defense is when an opponent throws more than one punch, or even sometimes anything beyond a jab, Wilder will move straight backward, raise his chin in the air, and hold his arms outward widely apart and palms outward. If you watch his most recent matches, Molina and Duhaupas you'll see this happen several times. There's just no way that he can do this against Povetkin, or even Jennings, and win the match. Have you seen him do this? It's terrible terrible defense.
yeah I am interested to see how Jennings does from this point forwards,,, he has very good speed overall for a heavy :bbb
I can't believe people on here actually thought Wilder would possibly fight Jennings. Wilder has made two of the most disgraceful title defenses all time. This is all because he has a Glass Jaw.
You see Wilder's handlers floating these names. Briggs, Jennings, Takam. They float them, and then they pick a guy from the top 50-100. This is fraudulent marketing, nothing else. Bait and switch.
If he had problems with Molina and Duhaupas, Takam could be a nightmare for him with his speed and volume punching when he's inspired.
