Phil, is tonights IBO Asia Pacific fight a 10 or 12 rounder?
On Boxrec it says 10, but i thought all regional titles had to be 12.

Thought this would have been pretty entertaining. Saw Paulley beat Shannon McMahon a few starts back and he looked impressive enough. Shannon seemed to struggle with the lefty though.

Wasn't bad at all actually. Good to see Paulley's face held together for long enough to get the decision. Shaw was lucky getting caught on the bell in the 8th, then some quick stool action by his trainer, ensuring he didn't get counted out was impressive.
All in all a decent spectacle. Bennett's opponent was a bit to happy to stay on the canvas for my liking though.

why is it 10? all the other regional titles are 12.

    i thought the order was:

    State titles - 8 rounds
    National titles - 10 rounds
Regional and world titles - 12 rounds.

    Am i wrong?

Yeah mate some are 10 some are 12. The Asia Pacific belt is considered a stepping stone so are normally scheduled for 10. To be honest I prefer 12 but I was outvoted - then again I also like national titles over 12 and state titles over 10 but that is just my opinion for what it is worth!

I agree with Australia's current format of 8 rounds for state & 10 for national titles.:good
Never liked the national over 12, could significantly shorten a fighters career if forced into 12 round matches at early stages.

each to their own Kegsy, if a fighter isn't ready to go 12 he isn't ready to fight for aussie title. JMO
