    He would've had to have got used to boxing in front of a lot less if they didn't hand out all those comp tickets

    A lot of those undercard fighters tank when they finally reach the stage where they are fighting later in the card that the seats are not so empty.
    I've heard plenty of trainers state, "so and so was the best gym fighter on the planet, this guy would get the best of Roberto Duran in sparring, but when you put him in a real fight on a big stage, he's not the same fighter."

    How many of those fighters would pull upsets in an empty arena and then go back to not being able to perform at the same level with fans around????

    It does make a difference , some fighter feed off the crowd, others simply choke when they're around and cant perform at a high level.

    I'm in agreement with you that having fans makes a difference. What I was saying is most fighters wouldn't be hurt by having no fans.

    That's a pass. Porter isn't a can't miss fighter. Plenty of other fighters are willing to fight.
