Or a decaff Aaron Pryor. He's predictable and didn't even look good against Broner. The scorecards should've been wider in the Brook fight. He clearly beat Porter. Porter is so unaccurate and wild. Come forward throwing winging shots with his head forward. He obviously has some talent but if he doesn't have the strength advantage over you he's beatable. You take away that advantage and he's beatable. He still would probably beat Amir Khan but i don't think that's even a foregone conclusion. Brook looked the bigger man in the ring and Porter couldn't use his strength as much as he wanted to. Also, Porter was more relentlless against Brook and could still do nothing. His punches were winging with no direct snap on them. Maidana would chew him up if he still has anything left for the sport. Thurman would stop him. Thurman is the better boxer than Porter. Algieri would give him all he can handle, too. Prov is more of a beast than Porter.
If losing to Brook on a close fight shows anything, it's that you are a great fighter. Brook can knock out the majority of the division, and shutout the rest with perhaps a few exceptions in the elite zone.
It wasn't a close fight Brook clearly beat him. Porter's still good but i don'trate him as highly as some do on here.
Roger Mayweather thinks Porter ain't that special. I agree with him entirely. Broner isn't a welterweight. There's no excuses as i don't rate Broner that much but if he used his jab much more he would have beaten Porter.
Well no one ever beat Broner the way Porter did either. It was a more decisive win than Maidana's in terms of rounds won. Dunno about others, but I rate him right behind Thurman and Brook, easily a top 5 WW.
He's behind them two but he isn't a special fighter. I rate Algieri on his level. I rate Algieri, Khan, and Rios at a stretch on his level.
