another thing that didnt sit well with me, was how obsequious linares was towards haney in the dressing room. repeatedly thanking him for the opportunity. what was that about? it just had the feel of 2 businessmen discussing a successful business venture, not 2 fighters talking bout whos best.
With Linares background and experience there is simply no reason he didn’t turn up the heat after he wobbled Haney. I said in the RBR I believe Linares was paid off or had an agreement with Haney.
Basically Porter is saying that 1. A younger active prime Linares would've put his foot on the gas and splattered Haney to the canvas in round 11 or 12 which of course is precisely, factually, and semantically correct. 2. Or that Linares deliberately took his foot of the gas and threw the fight. Either way he's right because one of those is true.
I would go with option 1. Has any fighter recently come out and say that they have been offered money to throw a fight? I would think that something like that would eventually come out.
If someone is going to throw a fight, wouldn’t they typically fake being knocked out, as opposed to going the full 12 rounds? It looked like Linares was throwing as hard as he could, at least up until the end of the 10th. What if he had knocked Haney out with that punch at the end of the 10th? It did seem weird that Linares had no sense of urgency in the 11th and 12th though.
I think a few have but I can't remember any of their names off the top of my head But regardless of whether it's option 1 or 2, and I also lean towards option 1, Haney was clearly ready for the taking in round 11 and 12 but Linares was strangely passive and devoid of urgency.
I certainly don't think Linares threw the fight, I do think he's 35 years old at lightweight so the gas peddle doesn't go as far to the floor as it used to.
I thought it was weird looking. I chalked it up to looking for a perfect shot and being surprised by the degree of negative tactics Haney committed to. I'm guessing he expected to get some opportunity that never came. I don't know what Haney could offer him that the WBC belt couldn't. He'd be a major entity in a lively division and could get paid the normal way, unless he was truly committed to never fighting again after this which I don't think is the case.
When Linares didn't go for the KO in rnd 11 I felt like Linares was paid not to win. I still can't understand why for 2 minutes He just walked up to Haney and let him hug.
Porter knows that this goes on, he just can't flat out come out & and say it, or he'd be made a pariah.. he's alluding to it.. he's not just saying this off the cuff either, he's giving u a heads up.. most will dismiss it but it will tweak a FEW ppls interest.. like everything else is sport is basically run by freemasonry.. it is full of symbolism and some of it is predetermined.. hard to accept for some but I personally believe that to be true.. much of our reality is contrived .. with regards sport, high profile figures like Lebron James for example are continually political and always making Masonic hand gestures… Do you think all that is coincidental? They're just opinionated? No.. Sport is a distraction , it creates false idols for ppl to worship too.. yes some ppl get to the top on merit but I believe many are 'helped' there, b/c of family bloodlines ties or for political & social engineering purposes.. Look ar that YT clown Logan Paul.. what's his purpose? Well hes an influencer isn't he… He keeps young people worshipping things like materialism & greed & fame.. I wonder which family he comes from… At its core freemasonry is satanic. Anti good & anti god. I don't know if Linares did genuinely hold back in that fight but his performance was definitely restrained, but that can be put down to age too.. However he did look suspiciously fresh late in the fight.. I'm proud to be called a conspiracy theorist btw .. "Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt"
I wouldn't characterize Porter's comments as " Alex Jones type." He raised some legitimate points. Haney was not in a good place at the start of round 11. Katie Taylor could have stopped him at that point. So , like Shawn, I was wondering why Linares didn't go in for the kill. Maybe.......quack, quack ?
we all get old. I have just watched an interview of chris eubank senior talking about how he realized that he lost his killer instinct and he prefered to quit boxing. It happens. Father Time will knock all of us the F out. No exceptions. A younger linares? I dont think younger linares would lose to haney. Haney has not the power to stop ****, let alone a young linares.
