I have known porter since his first amateur bouts, I have always thought he had real talent. I think this fight is too much for him to soon I dont think he can beat gomez. Gomez has beat proven people he even stopped castillo Porter has no power and barely skated past russell jordan and ray robinson, I wonder if the ken porter is broke and trying to make a quick buck since they left prize fight promotions.

Too much too soon? Porter is 24, not 19! And Gomez isn't a top fighter at all. He's a stepping stone. If Porter can't be a used Gomez at this point, he's going nowhere.

He should be able to beat Gomez. But still, I think he's a crap fighter.

Even Keith Thurman would destroy Porter.

I don't think Gomez's victory over Castillo holds any meaning with the current version of Castillo, but Gomez has proven to be basically fringe world class level and the only fighter that has beaten him with ease was prime Miguel Cotto when Gomez had a broken hand going into the fight and pancreatis in the middle of his training camp. He always comes to fight, and Porter hasn't dealt with somebody like that yet, nor anyone close to the class of Gomez. At the least, the fight should be a competitive one, and the upset is very possible.
