How do you guys see this one going? I for one think that Porter is the only guy at Welterweight that can beat Spence and would be a good chin test.

Porter won't be able to bully Spence like he does pretty much everyone he fights. Spence is stronger than him and much more complete. Spence by wide UD

What are you basing that on? Who's attempted to bully Spence? I can guarantee Porter would be stronger than Bundu, Van Heerden and Algieri. Spence has never been pushed, Porter is as strong as an ox, he would not be a walk in the park for anyone at WW, not even Floyd, Spence would have his hands full for every second of the match.

I feel that Spence is the stronger fighter of the two not only that more complete. Spence would hit porter with something early in that fight, probably to the body, that would make Porter think twice about coming in wild. Porter is good at what he does he is what he is but if you can stand up to his attack he's very average and can be outboxed. Like I said before Porter smothers his own work on the inside and can only fight one way there's nothing complicated about his approach. IMO he's tailormade for a guy like Spence who excels against roughousing swarmers like Porter who will try to come at him. He will bust Porter up from body and head shots over the course of the fight breaking him down and landing the cleaner harder shots that will catch the attention of the judges and win rounds in the process. I really can't see anything other than Porter taking a savage beating in route to a TKO loss or a lopsided UD loss.

Spence is too skilled for Porter. Porter would get hurt in this fight. I mean like, Canelo-Kirkland kind of KO hurt.

Porter's style is much like Carlos Medina's, straight forward, physical fifght while throwing a fairly good but inconsistent jab, pretty good body shots, but overall against top opposition, ineffective aggression.

Watch Porky Medina against DeGale and see how Porter's style is supposed to work.

Spence is too skilled and too strong for Porter, whose game is bullying his way inside. On the inside, Spence likely destroys Porter by defending against those wild over hand rights, wide looping hooks and countering with sharp uppercuts and left hook.
In the end I predict Porter laid out on his back like Amir Khan.
Spence is a really bad man!

Spence is the bigger, stronger fighter. He'd be able to handle him just like Brook did, perhaps even KO him because I expect a very aggressive Spence to keep going after him and not back away like Thurman.

Nice step up fight right here, the kind that would answer a lot of questions. Could be a coming out party for Spence

I dont like this fight for Porter.

He leaves himself way too open and that smothering style is going to be his downfall.

    Spence will take him apart.

Porter is durable and strong. But if he comes with that same approach that he used against Thurman.

That might prove to be a mistake.

Porter will have his moments Yes but i dont see him beating Spence.

Is this fight confirmed? I would love to see it. I think Porter would take it, but Spence is really an unknown quantity right now. I will say that I'm not impressed with Spence's defense at all. He hasn't been fighting great fighters (to be expected; he is still a prospect. I'm not knocking him for that), but he is getting caught a lot by them: sometimes by the same combination multiple times in a row. That is a huge problem. His opponents haven't had much power so it doesn't put him in any danger, but Porter is another animal entirely. I'd love to see how Spence handles the pressure.

Porter is also a very tough fighter. Spence won't be able to rely solely on his power; he's going to need to outbox Porter, but Porter is great at imposing his game on you and Spence won't be able to make the fight his own I'd wager.
