I don't rate him at all.

From the little I've seen, I dont understand the initial hype.. seems its died down now though.

I havent seen much of him.

But what i saw didnt impressed me.

lets see how he does once he steps up in comp then we can gauge how good he is till then hes just another unproven prospect.

I think he has a lot of ability. He's quick, and has some pop as well as a nice clean flecking jab. He is short, but with a lil more polish he will be able to get inside a little better and let loose that shoe-shine...

Good combos aswell, he has stopped three quarters of his opposition so far, even the guys he's been fighting, thats still very good. And man, is he fast!! He is only 5'7 and its crazy to imagine that he started at 12st!! (168lbs)

he's an athlete and that's about it. maybe it's his dedication or his mentality but he doesn't perform well consistently.

Talented, but not that great with his current coaching. He is an underpowered Boxer Puncher. One of the worst combinations of applied style and natural attributes I have seen to get so much hype. He needs to find himself and soon. Who are you man? And Why?

He is pretty big. Too big for his punching power. He seems to float around 147 plus even at this early stage. That considered, he doesn't seem to have the pop needed to ice guys with his purely Offensive defensively suspect style. With his style he should be KOing everyone but the toughest at this stage. He isn't. I don't think he will be able to ice anyone at the B+/A-. A/A+ level he will just be picked apart or worse if he mixes it up with a REAL 147/154 pound Banger.

If he focused more on picking tough opponents apart? I would like him much better. That said? It may be too late for him to update his direction. Especially since getting with Roach and Co. He just isn't a banger. The sooner he realizes it the better.

He reminds me of Bradley minus the hardwork, so no, I don't see anything special.

think Gomez will beat this kid, Porter didnt impress in his last fight, Gomez has fallen short at world title level, but this is a step down and Porter doesnt look like a Canelo or Cotto to me!
