He's a nice guy but he loses points for being a daddy's boy.

Also Thurman is my favourite fighting hippy so I've got his back.

Did anyone see the sparring video of him and Thurman. Kenny is a ****ing liar. Thurman controlled the pace in sparring and will do the same in the fight.
Shawn is nothing more than the black version of Maidana with far less power.

Thurman didnt control ****, porter looked more fluid better head movemnt and quicker. Thurman was just running around the whole time and landed a couple nice uppercuts but porter controlled that sparrong match brah!

No, I believe you are mistaken. Thurman was far more crisp and connected better. He was using great movement and the jab, which is Porter's weakness.
Porter was Porter, 10% boxing, 90% bull rushing.

His bullrushing can be quite effective. I think Thurman knocks him out though.

Some decent ****ysis from One Time, here:

I like Thurman, but he hasn't always shined, even vs less than stellar opponents.
Porter will be by far the fiercest fighter he's been in with, and with a ton hanging in the balance.

If Porter is good at one thing, it's sensing when his opponent is not comfortable.
He'll continue in that game until his opponent adjusts.

I almost wish they'd have held this one back until Garcia been routed, Pac OFFICIALLY gone, and Brook moved N to LMW.

This fight could have been an event had one taken out Garcia first, and the other Bradley or Spence.

It's true. For example Thurman was having a hard time when Chaves was bringing it to him. He adjusted well though mid fight iirc.

I agree. I like Garcia but I don't see him shining at 147 like he did at 140.
He was not worried about trying to get a Mayweather fight 2 years ago but he sees his limitations and now wants to cash out.
This fight plus Brook vs Vargas should really revive the WW division.
