I think it's because he's fighting Luis Arias tonight...if that's a live event. It's a national feature bout, Porter-Arias. Don't know if it was previously filmed or not though. But I heard that someone said Shawn was at 157 and might be looking to turn pro.
Shawn "Showtime" Porter from Cleveland? If this is the guy I think it is than he has one more amateur fight then is looking to fight pro at 154. Seen him spar, great talent.
Don't know the nickname, and he's always listed as being from Cuyahoga Falls, but yes; I think tonight is his last amateur bout against Luis Arias and then turning pro at 54 is what I heard too.
Porter. There's video of him online at the Olympic Trials last year fighting Dominic Wade, one of the guys from my home area around Washington DC.
Look up Shawn Porter on Youtube and his fight with Dominic Wade should be one of the first hits. He got dropped early on, but Wade ended up getting DQ'd.
