The fact is that there have been bad sports from every race of fighter at one time or another: White, Black, Brown, whatever... Why not acknowledge that? The problem is that he's singling out Black fighters when every race is guilty of the same. I know that you can name Black fighters who are good sports...I know you can...That is why he is being called on it...and that is the reality of it.

A lot of boxers have a hard time admitting defeat it isn't about race it's about what they tell themselves everyday in training camp and on fight not that their invincible. Then when they lose their mentally shocked and not everyone can handle it . It's why some of them see psychiatrist ( Froch) and why some of them never return to the ring or return and never fight like they did (Bute). It's a mental game as it is a physical one. Porter thought he would be fighting for millions against Mayweather and thats probably gone now.

Even Dereck Chisora showed good sportsmanship after being knocked out by David Haye.

Color or race has nothing to with being a sore loser.

It's true there are bad sports in every race.
But all of them will be called out for it at one point or another, except if it's an African American making these remarks at home.

He will get a free pass each and every time.
    Bull.

Wlad is a gentleman, and he would never lower himself to that.

But after a close fight, the loser will most of the time whine and ba a sore lsoer. I don't even think it's a bad thing, because everyone wants to be the best. If you're happy after losing, then you're doing something wrong and it's time to quit, because you will never win. After losing a close battle, you will be upset and reflect you're own frustrations on others. I can understand that Porter is b*tching about the referee and the holding of Brook, but that's not the reason he lost. He might feel that way (I would too if I were him), but in your own world, you can create you're own truth.

Everyone can be a sore loser. Even I can't stand it when I lose a game of Memory to my 3 year old son ... again and again.

I actually thought Porter took it pretty well! Maybe it's just me, I think the "He didn't really beat the champ" is about as see through as a glass of water, gotta keep these ridiculous hype trains rollin'!
He knows he got beat by the better technician and it'll become abundantly clear after watching the tape. You'd be inhuman to go from the heights of self-belief to a totally objective individual in 10 minutes! I think any points decision gives the loser a bit of room to say "Could have gone the other way..."

    You ducked my point.

Why are African Americans repeatedly getting a free pass being bad sports in the medias ?

Marquez is the biggest whiner in the game at the moment. Carl Froch point blank refused to admit he was beaten by Kessler. The list of fighters refusing to admit they were beaten in the ring is endless.

He didn't just claim he was still the champ.

He denied having trouble getting his punches in, accused Brook of what he was himself initiating (clinching) and telling it with a calm, deliberate and poised face.

A monument of bad sportmanship told with a straight face, expecting people to swallow it hook, line and sinker.

Porter said nothing worse than most other fighters do. Most fighters are over-the-top macho and arrogant and won't admit they lost. I know a lot of the time they are just trying to sell themselves and their fights, but it makes them hard to like. Relatively few (e.g. Broner) are actually total shits. Can't believe OP included Bradley in his list, Bradley is one of the few nice guys.

Your views are extremely selective and it's obvious you've got some issues with Black people...it's pretty transparent if you don't know already...maybe something happened on a personal level that you don't want to discuss. Not sure but that's your business and not mine. That may be the reason why you're so concerned with Black fighters "getting a pass," which I find laughable. If we really want to get technical from a sociological standpoint on subjects pertaining to race and Blacks getting a pass (the subject you brought up, mind you) we could easily talk about all of the passes Blacks received throughout history "at home" as you say. Since you really want to go there. Wish you would just let go of the hate, my dude. It's not healthy for you. We're all in this together.

Not a racial thing but whatever, that's what you choose to see.
