    I'll give you two examples:
    - Hopkins saying "I refuse to lose to a white boy "
    - Chisora spitting water into Wlad's face.

    The media backlash ?

    Not a word.

Now, let's reverse the roles and put a white fighter in the same situation .

What would the medias say ?

They would have a field day with the "R" word.

So, why the double standards ?
    You said selective views ?

I say take off your blinders, buddy.

lol Froch whined after he was given a hometown victory over Dirrell. I can understand a "sore loser" but a "sore winner"?

Brook got away with holding, Porter got away with his retaliation to holding. That's all there is to it, ******.

For his first 'L' I think he took it pretty well. He had a legitimate complaint about the holding. But, that's on the ref to control that. Similarly, Brook could have complained about the wide shots that landed on the back of his head. If he didn't feel that he lost right after the fight, it's understandable. The fight was competitive and the scores were a bit wide. After he watches the replay, he should see what he could have done to combat what Brook was doing.

This seems to be confined to America, as English Africans routinely show much more sportmanship than their American counterparts.

Come on travolt, I think exaggerating the most general and spurious 'trends' of different races/skin colours can all sound very logical but I think at the heart of the matter, everyone knows people are almost identical in psychology the world over, and more so, it's important to remember that as a civilised human being.

I enjoy ridiculous racial stereo-typing as much as the next man (and very much enjoy the humour of others who can 'take it') but I would never and have never used it as a means of disrespect nor would I accept people doing that to me with mean intent.

Sure, one could argue that...ahem...'Blacks' in America feel the need to have a 'front' and become overly defensive by general comparison but to associate this behaviour purely with one particular skin colour is racist and derogatory, even if you don't see it and feel your argument is based on observation.
