Shelley Finkel - I called Hearn. Hearn doesn't want the Wilder-Joshua fight.

Deontay Wilder, Shelley Finkel and Lou DiBella are wisely raising the Wilder profile by claiming Hearn doesn't want the fight next and they do.

Hearn has openly said he thinks Wilder should face Whyte to build the AJ fight. It's about maximizing.

Obviously Wilder and his camp don't actually want AJ next either, and maybe not at all. They want to build Wilder. The economics is the same.
Joshua is so well-known and hyped now, it makes sense to use AJ's name to build Wilder.

    Come on, bro.

Calm down & keep it real.

Wilder v Joshua at the back end of next year will be fine.

That's if they're both good enough to make it that far without getting rolled.

Reminds me when Lara begged GGG for a Payday and the morons here thought GGG was ducking him. If Lara wanted to face the best he would have but he kept on fighting bums.

If Wilder can't get AJ next will he fight the next best guy which is Ortiz or Povetkin?
And if not then who will he fight?

So you'd rather see Wilder-Breazeale instead of Wilder-Joshua.

    Got it.

I'd like to see both fights.

But only if Wilder is good enough to knock over Breazeale & Joshua is good enough to take care of a couple of other guys first.

Joshua and Wilder is the biggest fight out there. Joshua fans will fill wembley stadium regardless of who he is fighting. In terms of PPV all boxing fans know who wilder is and im pretty sure no boxing fan will miss out on getting this PPV if it was to go ahead. No way does any other fight do as many PPVS as this fight in heavyweight unless Tyson Fury comes back and fights Joshua.

At the end of the day fans shouldnt get mixed up with the politics of who is going to get the bigger share. We should demand the best fights full stop

    That's funny.

It reminds me of the time Riddick Bowe threw his belt in the garbage and chose to fight Michael Dokes instead of Lennox Lewis, saying Lennox Lewis didn't bring anything to the table and nobody in the U.S. knew who he was.

And people at the time kept saying, "That's okay. They can fight later. It'll be bigger if they fight later."

But, in hindsight, would you have rather watched the undefeated Riddick Bowe vs. the undefeated Lennox Lewis for the WBC/WBA/IBF heavyweight titles in 1993, or would you have rather stuck with Bowe-Dokes? And Bowe-Ferguson?

Because the UK is about to get a heaping bowl of Bowe-Dokes with Joshua and Hearn.

You make big fights when you can. You don't WAIT so they get "bigger." Because nine times out of 10 they never take place.

I hope Hearn and Joshua dont end up looking like a couple of puzsies in all of this but this all feels a bit quick and rushed like they couldnt wait to start calling Hearn and AJ duckers. Team Wilder have been in no rush to face anybody good in their last 38-39 fights and all of a sudden its NOW NOW NOW.

Im not buying it, there is time to chill out and sit down and make this fight like big fights are meant to get made. Team Wilder are just too eager to be calling them duckers. When 2018 comes and goes and there is no fight and we struggle to get anything out of Hearn and AJ about Wilder then i will start portioning blame.

But im not going to ride this sudden wave of talk coming out of Alabama by these idiots. As it stands they are just acting like children.

Joshua v Wilder at the end of next year is a bigger fight than Joshua v Wilder first up next year.

Sure, there's a legitimate risk that one of them will get knocked over by someone else in the meantime, but that's boxing.

It's kind of silly demanding the fight first up next year when it's obviously not happening.

I wanna see it next too, no reason to wait, hell they could fight twice next year.

But if it doesn't happen do you expect Wilder to move on to next best fighters? Aka Ortiz, Povetkin? Yes or no.

Neither camp are truly planning to fight each other next.
    It's all pantomime and bluff.
