Shelley Finkel - I called Hearn. Hearn doesn't want the Wilder-Joshua fight.

No. Wlad wasn't WBA champ in January 2017. He hasn't been the champ of anything since 2015.

The WBA "mandatory" is the WBA "regular" champ. There is no WBA "regular" champ. So there is no mandatory.

And Joshua became the WBA's "super" champ in April. So, even if there was a WBA "regular" champ, Joshua would get a year and a half to face a mandatory (and it'll probably take that long to find one).

Bottom line, Joshua is free and clear of mandatories for the time being.

He can fight anyone he likes.

The biggest fight to be made right now is Wilder-Joshua.

    That's it.

They don't have to wait for anything. His schedule is clear. So is Wilder's.

    They don't need a warm summer's day.

    They just need to fight.

There is no reason to delay this. They could fight several times before any mandatories are due again.

So let's get on with it.

No reason this fight can't be made for April of 2018. None.

Wilder is the HW megafight. UK vs. USA. Deadly KO puncher. Tons of haters. This is the biggest fight to be made. But people are talking like the fight is nothing and Wilder hasn't earned it like Pulev or Takam?

These are clearly excuses because AJ has signaled to everyone he's not ready for Wilder. Let's be honest.

My pleasure. I am happy to point out the fear behind your pitiful excuses.

Wilders pricing himself out of the fight!
What’s hard to understand about that

There's no reason Joshua-Wilder can't be made next. No reason whatsoever. But there is a reason it won't be, and that reason is Eddie Hearn.

That's funny, on the official WBA website they sent out a order for the mandatory.
"According to the resolution sent on January 11th, 2017, to both parties, it was reported that the winner of the Joshua-Klitschko fight, held on April 29th, 2017, had to face Ortiz after 120 days.
95 days have passed and, for this reason, the Championships Committee ordered to negotiate a fight between the British and Cuban boxers.

"Both parties were duly notified that, as of August 3rd, they have 30 days to reach an agreement or the fight will be called to purse bids."

So unless the WBA push back their mandatory date further, there is no Wilder fight. His team know this.

The WBA had Lucas Browne as the WBA 'regular' champ, and he got stripped for testing positive. Shannon Briggs was supposed to fight Fres Oquendo for a WBA belt, then Briggs got popped and banned. Luis Ortiz was the WBA interim champ, and he gave it up and then fought for a WBA intercontinental title. Last week he got banned for a year by the WBA.

There is no WBA regular champ. There is no WBA interim champ. There is no mandatory.

    Joshua is FREE of mandatories.

Nothing to worry your pretty little head over.

Joshua is free to fight Wilder for the WBC/WBA/IBF Heavyweight titles. Two unbeaten KO artists in their primes. Plenty of fireworks.

But Hearn isn't returning phone calls.

Reading between the lines, you're sounding awfully insecure about this fight.

Because AJ vs. Wilder needs to happen in a summer Aug/Sep 2018 stadium fight, where it generates the most money. That's why. That is 10 month away from now.

Hearns is 100% correct in that Wilder should consider fighting Whyte in the UK in Feb, collect a cool $4 million. Everyone expects Wilder to win. It will make an AJ vs. Wilder fight soooo much bigger in the UK.

If you want to believe AJ is free of mandatories, go ahead, I don't give a ****, I know for a fact Hearn and the WBA will be announcing a mando shortly, and that fight WILL be next. That's unless Hearn manages to sweet talk the WBA around into trying to unify, which is doubtful because they will lose money.

Hearn wants Whyte vs Wilder.Period. He thinks Dillian can win the belt so he dreams of an all UK unification bout. You know how much that would sell ? If Haye KO s Bellew dontyou think AJ vs Haye would be a huge fight at Wembley Stadium ?
AJ has a ton of options and thats Wilder's biggest problem at the moment. Deontay has 0 options.

    Insecure about Wilder! Hahahhaha
I'll say this with a straight face, current Haye poses more of a threat to AJ right now than that clown. Current Haye would knock the absolute **** out of Wilder.

Joshua fought Klitschko in April (not summer) in Wembley and broke attendance records. Joshua fought Takam in Cardiff with the roof on two weeks ago (not summer) and broke the indoor attendance record for boxing.

Enough of the bull about "needing warm weather."

They are going to generate their money by selling tickets at a higher price and with PPVs.

A warm summer's day has ZERO to do with it, considering every UK attendance record was broken last year and Joshua never fought in the summer.

The 'summer' excuse has become an even bigger joke than David Haye's broken toe.
