You seem to purposely miss the point. I never said that Wilder claimed such thing, nor that he must face Klitschko next.

I said that if you are claiming that you are the champion of the world and that you returned the glory in the US, you don't say that you are not ready for the best if you are asked to face them.

In this particular case, Wilder's management said that he shouldn't be rushed to Klitschko. Ok, no problem. Then you could just say "I'm not there yet" or something like that instead of acting as if you became the heavyweight king.

Also, if you are #3 in the world, you are not a prospect anymore. Ready or not, the time has come to fight the top guys.

Yes, Wlad has Jennings then Fury who he has to fight before October of this year. Povetkin is WBC silver champion and supposedly has an option to fight Perez to be the WBC mandatory now that Jennings is opting for Klitschko. I am not sure Wlad will get to fight Povetkin again unless he beats Wilder as his mandatory which could happen but it will be for less money than a Klitschko fight would be.

Thing is, and we all know this, Wilder is NOT the champion of the world. You seem to be putting significance in a meaningless belt. And he may not be a prospect but he certainly isnt ready to face Wlad whether he has a belt or not. Why wouldnt honest boxing fans want to see him be ready first and develop the way Wlad and plenty of other past champions were allowed to? I'd think by your claims of calling people out that Wlad fans would want Fury at the head of their list since he has the biggest mouth. I'd think theyd want Povetkin again since he is the clear number two at this point even if Wlad already beat him. If youre going to put so much stock into Wilder holding a paper title everyone should be wondering why Wlad did the same thing. Maybe team Wilder is just following the Klitschko recipe for success. If thats the case, how can you blame him? If you dob lame him than how come dont hold Wlad to the the same accountability?

No one needs to see a hugfest again, thats for sure. But as a fan of the sport do you not want to see him fight the best, most prepared fighters? Nobody think that that is Wilder.

he is absolutely right, wilder is not ready for klitschko, give wilder 4-5 more dangerous tests if he can pass those he would be ready and klitschko might still beat him. fact is wilder might not ever be good enough to beat klitschko, his best best would be a k.o.

A world champion with 30+ fights is a prospect? LOL.

He doesn't have to fight Wlad right away, I get all that but I do expect decent comp.

This fight will be made if Wlad can make an offer Wilder can't resist. Wilder will get peanuts fighting unknowns, he doesn't have a huge profile in the US at this point.

Its certainly a fight I would like to see and within his next few fights. Next he should should take on someone like Tony Thompson to test himself a little more, then Fury, then Povetkin. Should he get through that I think he would be a worthh challenger for Wlad and it would be a fight that would be built into a superfight. Thats just my opinion. Wilder needs experience against better fighters before moving on. I think Povetkin would even be to much of a jump in his NEXT fight, but I would like to see it within a year to eighteen months if possible.

Just another reason to bring him along before handing him over to Wlad for execution.
