    He should really try to take a fight that he might not have the opportunity for otherwise.

    Damn, i just got my tickets and now the fight is off and there is no way to give them back :twisted:
    I would hate to see Wlad fight Rahman.
    Valuev for sure, but i doubt it.

    Povetkin's replacement will probably be Sinan Samil Sam. His promoter can spend big bucks to stage this fight + there is rumour that Sinan Samil Sam will soon fight for a world title.

    You realize HBO has to approve his replacement opponent? No way are they going to approve that bum. It will be Rahman most likely.

    Sam's camp can offer tons of money to make that fight happen! Sam is a financially attractive option.

    You seem to overrate HBO's power,rico!

    German tv pays the big bucks + the arena will be sold anyway + Sam's box promotion has the financial clout to make their fight happen.

    My guess is that even without American tv Wlad can earn more money fighting Sam than fighting Rahman or Dimitrenko.

    im one of the biggest wlad huggers here, but even i would have to criticize wlad for fighting sam. i know the options are few but there r far better ones...when u get outpointed on ur home turf by Oliver Mccall, it's time to call it quit :-(

    Unless HBO backs out of showing the fight they will not approve a fight against Sam. No way in hell.

    I think it will be Rahman because he is a former champion and is American and recognizable to the American public. HBO will not show a Wlad/SSS fight.
